Found this from JFT Beach's round up. This was really evocative and atmospheric. "Birds caw, chirp, and whistle. The leaves rustle. A plane roars faintly in the distance. Cars drive by on neighborhood streets. My dog runs and snorts." Love it 🥲 So often, we think we need utter silence to be meditative. This was a super realistic slice of mindfulness.

This is really well written and interspersed with great quotes. I enjoyed this and felt I could see the place you describe. I just subscribed and will share a link to this in my Sunday round up newsletter.

This gave me great feelings! What a lovely space you get to enjoy, though we only can in choosing to, as you mentioned elsewhere. I will try to notice all the beauty in my surroundings in as much detail as you do.

Lovely. As a Christian, I don’t follow other religious teachings (that’s not a value judgment) but I do appreciate wisdom whatever the source. And as a person who finds it difficult to be still, I also appreciate this meditation. All too quickly do I get up each morning and run headlong into work without first reading my Bible or taking time to pray. Your words were the catalyst I needed today to do just that. Thank you.

That's wonderful! I'm so glad it helped! I'm a Christian too. I also appreciate and study many other faiths because I'm a curious person and some things speak to me. ☺️

It's good to meet you, sister (in the Lord). I have friends who are of different faiths and respect their beliefs. I just try to be Jesus with skin on to whomever I meet, which means I am not called to judge anyone but to love them. (John 13:34-35) As the political meme says ,"I understand the assignment." Well, sharing God's LOVE is my assignment!
